The Animation in Europe (AE) federation renews its Board of Directors
The Spanish Mar Sáez Pedrero will occupy the General Secretary of this organization whose objective is the defense of the interests of production companies, studios and distributors of independent animated films and series.
The general assembly of Animation in Europe (AE)Coinciding with the celebration of the Annecy Festival, federation of European associations of animation production companies, has elected its new Board of Directors for the next two years.
The Board decided that Philippe Alessandri (France) continue as president of the Federation, a position for which he was already elected in 2016, the year in which Animation in Europe was founded.
The new Board will also include Annemie Degryse (Belgium) as Treasurer and Moe Honan (Ireland), Dirk Beinhold (Germany) and Tom van Waveren (Netherlands) as Vice-Presidents. In addition, it was also named Mar Sáez Pedrero (Spain) as General Secretary of Animation in Europe.
AE is a non-profit organization whose objective is to defend the interests of production companies, studios and distributors of independent animated films and series established in Europe. The Federation now has 18 associated organizations from 15 countries: Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
In 2017, Animation in Europe contributed to the development of the Animation Action Plan presented by Creative Europe and continues to actively participate in the development and
implementation of the same in future European policy beyond 2021.
