On-Hertz debuts its Artisto software audio engine at IBC 2019
Artisto brings flexibility, interoperability, efficiency and automation to any audio workflow. It will also demonstrate Lumo, an innovative study solution radio virtual.
In IBC 2019 (Stand 8.C96) the Belgian company specialized in virtual audio On-Hertz will launch his Artisto software audio engine, a complete solution to automate any workflow that involves sound.
This solution eliminates the frustrations inherent in complex hardware infrastructures and eliminates the need for outdated and insecure control protocols. Artisto is fully configurable and controllable through a simple and open web API.
Renaud Schoonbroodt, co-founder of the company, comments that "with the advent of IP, broadcasters are beginning to understand and appreciate the enormous benefits that true interoperability brings them and Artisto is designed to offer the highest level of interoperability to any audio workflow. Because it simplifies the automation of many routine, time-consuming processes and eliminates the complexity of interoperability, it can contribute greatly to increasing productivity and reducing costs."
Artisto also meets user needs for, for example, AES67, Dante or MADI inputs and outputs. It is compatible with all major computer sound card vendors and is planned to support NewTek NDI out of the box.
"From simple audio level monitoring and detection for visual radio to advanced workflows for cross-platform media delivery or automated video productions, Artisto covers all audio processing and synchronization needs. We started by listening to our customers who were working with traditional hardware-based media workflows and who wanted to reduce costs and simplify and optimize operation. Artisto meets all of these requirements by providing virtualization and secure web API control," says Benjamin Lardinoit, co-founder of On-Hertz.
Lumo
On-Hertz will also demonstrate Lumo, an innovative study solution radio virtual designed to offer new and exciting creative possibilities for radio stations, so the location of external broadcasts is limited only by your imagination, which can significantly increase the affordability of external broadcasts.
Lumo is a all in one radio studio, designed to complement the existing infrastructure, and includes playout (playlist and jingle players), a mixing console with all DSP and AoIP functions for telephony and transmission. Because Lumo is web-native and easy to use, a studio can be controlled with the tip of your fingers from any device – including iPad and Android tablets – or location.
Lumo can be easily adopted by non-technical users. Its automatic gain-sharing mixer, for example, allows the presenter to focus on interviews and the content to be delivered without worrying about mixing channels. Likewise, the playout can be controlled by simply pressing the “Next” button.
It also provides a separate cue player; a mix editor (including trimming and volume envelope editing) to fine-tune automatic crossover between decaying tracks; the ability to import playlists from other production systems (including signals and mix points); and a routing matrix to flexibly route input and output channels to and from a sound card.
