Brainstorm Showcases Advanced Augmented Reality at Panasonic Booth at IBC
The two companies demonstrate advanced 4K AR workflows in real time thanks to the joint solution with the Panasonic AW-UE150 PTZ camera.
Brainstorm is very present in this IBC 2019. In addition to the technological demonstration that is exhibited at its stand (7.C19), we can check the full potential of its solution InfinitySet on the virtual reality set of the stand Panasonic (11.C45) showing complex augmented reality (AR) graphics thanks to its joint solution with the camera AW-UE150W/K.
This collaboration is showing how InfinitySet, the virtual scenery and augmented reality from Brainstorm, performs at its best in any augmented reality environment and workflow.
This workflow is the result of the collaboration of Brainstorm and Panasonic for the development of the PTZF tracking data (Pan, Tilt, Zoom and Focus) of the AW-UE150W/K camera. Panasonic took advantage of the wide Brainstorm experience of more than 25 years in the development of real-time 3D graphics solutions, virtual scenarios and augmented reality, to develop a product that allows the creation of a complete workflow, bringing advanced AR to companies of any size and budget.
A powerful combination
According to Hector Viguer, CTO and COO of Brainstorm, "our collaboration with Panasonic has been a great success and demonstrates once again the openness of InfinitySet and its ability to interconnect using any industry-standard protocol. Our presence in the virtual reality area of IBC shows how the combination of the Panasonic AW-UE150W/K camera with the Brainstorm InfinitySet effortlessly produces amazing AR content that allows televisions to significantly enhance their storytelling."
Combined with InfinitySet, the AW-UE150 is a powerful solution to enhance the communication of news and stories by including data-driven in-context graphics with ease and complete accuracy. In the IBC demo, this AR workflow consists of the Automatic tracking of live presenters, thanks to the infrared tracking emitters of Blacktrax, to add additional real-time graphics that follow them on the screen, demonstrating even more possibilities that the AR workflow allows with additional external tracking data.
