Panasonic hopes to reduce complexity in virtual and augmented reality
Panasonic comes to IBC 2025 with its latest innovations in virtual and augmented reality, as well as slow-motion broadcast functionalities. The collaborations with Zero Density, Brainstorm y SimplyLive (Riedel) enable you to reduce complexity and costs by incorporating the latest technologies into your production workflow.
The Japanese manufacturer has been working with two of the biggest players in the virtual studio and augmented reality industry to ensure their systems integrate seamlessly with Panasonic cameras. The AW-UE150 It is the first PTZ camera on the market that offers position data notifications (PTZF) and, thanks to the adoption of the protocolo FreeD, is compatible with augmented reality and virtual studio applications, in addition to offering real-time positioning to VR/AR engines.
Panasonic and Zero Density are jointly introducing a cost-effective, photorealistic virtual solution ideal for studio productions of content providers and small and medium-sized television broadcasters.

For networks specializing in sports broadcasting and basic and mid-level content producers, Panasonic has collaborated with SimplyLive in order to offer a compact, integrated, powerful, cost-effective playback system that allows slow motion playback. The compact integrated production unit ViBox SimplyLive and studio camera AK-UC4000 from Panasonic make the management of live productions even easier. With its high-quality output, innovative workflows and features, and notable cost reductions, this combination is the perfect entry-level solution for small businesses and productions.
Panasonic is unveiling at IBC 2025 the new AK-UBX100, a 4K multipurpose camera box-style camera compatible with the same 2/3″ bayonet lens mount platform as the AK-UCX100 4K studio camera released last year. Thanks to the AF function via FWUP, the camera will allow fast and stable target acquisition regardless of the type of lens used.
This camera uses the same functional and original design, as well as the same shared menu interface, as the AK-UCX100 4K studio camera. This eliminates the complexity of color matching, a recurring problem, and unifies operability across devices.
Furthermore, when using a common remote operation panel (ROP), seamless integration is made possible with the AK-UCX100 4K studio camera and AW-UE160 4K PTZ camera, resulting in significant improvements in operational efficiency on location.
The AK-UBX100 is independently compatible with various IP protocols, such as SMPTE ST 2110, NDI and SRT, and its interfaces include two 12G-SDI ports and two SFP+/28 ports. In addition to basic moiré reduction designed for various production needs, the addition of an HD optical low-pass filter further enhances moiré suppression, allowing the camera to deliver great expressive power on its own.
In terms of design, this model presents a flat design on all four sides, an improvement over the previous model, the AK-UB300. Thanks to your compact and lightweight bodyAt only approximately 1.9 kilos, the new camera can be easily mounted on a robotic camera and used in a wide variety of recording environments. This increases flexibility when combined with lenses and camera heads, greatly improving maneuverability on the jobsite.
AW-RP200GJ
Además del joystick principal para controlar el giro, la inclinación, el zoom y el enfoque, the new AW-RP200GJ controller also features an additional joystick on the side left. The right stick allows intuitive one-handed control of pan, tilt and zoom (or focus), while the left stick can be assigned to various functions, such as menu navigation and cropping operations. Together, the two joysticks allow simultaneous control of different tasks and even allow a single operator to manage multiple remote cameras from a single controller.
The new AW-RP200GJ also offers 20 buttons multiple selection buttons assignable to functions such as camera selection, preset recall, macro execution, and more. Each switch has its own integrated LCD screen to display the assigned mode, so that tasks can be executed accurately and quickly.
