ChyronHego has appointed Ariel Garcia como nuevo CEO. García joined ChyronHego as a member of the board of directors in 2015, following a strategic investment from Vector Capital, and entered the business as president of broadcast in late 2018.

He has a long history of driving growth and operational improvements for technology companies. Since 2014, he served as operating partner and head of value creation at Vector Capital. Previously, he was a senior director at The Boston Consulting Group, where he led the company's technology, media and telecommunications areas. García has a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a degree in computer engineering from the Universidad Católica Argentina.

Ariel García acknowledges being delighted with his appointment "during this stage of ChyronHego's growth. Our sports intelligence and broadcasting products are world-class, and our growing focus and partnership with our clients will be fundamental to future success. ChyronHego has a rich history as a technology innovator. With an increasingly customer-centric approach and investment in key partnerships with the ecosystem, we are determined to offer the best technology, services and value to our clients."

Johan Apel, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ChyronHego, notes that "Ariel's ability to successfully drive growth and change makes him the ideal candidate to lead the next era of ChyronHego. His extensive experience in implementing strategies and operational improvements to improve company performance is a great asset. We welcome Ariel as the head of our executive management team as we advance our operations and strengthen the ChyronHego brand around the world."

García thus replaces Marco López as CEO of the company. "I want to thank Marco for his leadership and contribution to ChyronHego as CEO. I had the opportunity to work closely with Marco over the past year, and I can attest to his deep knowledge of the broadcasting industry, as well as the great professional and human being he is. I wish him the best in his future endeavors," García highlighted.
