Idol Kids

3,000 children registered in the online casting, many of them summoned to the in-person tests held in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Oviedo and the Canary Islands. This successful call has marked the beginning of the recordings of Idol Kids, new musical talent show Telecinco, whose first two phases have just finished.

Produced in collaboration with Fremantle, this new competition will be presented by Jesús Vázquez and has a jury made up of three great figures from the world of music: Isabel Pantoja, Edurne and Carlos Jean.

Idol Kids is the Spanish and children's adaptation of Idols, one of the most successful formats in the world, sold and adapted in almost 100 countries since its premiere in the United Kingdom (2001). The children's version has been made with great success in places such as the United States, Germany, Brazil, Portugal, Norway, Vietnam, India and Puerto Rico.

Of the thousands of applicants who signed up for online precasting, only one can become the winner of Idol Kids. The selection will be carried out in three phases: 'The Castings', 'The Rankings' - the already recorded stages - and the last galas, which will begin to be produced in the coming weeks with a new set.

In the seven programs in which they are developed Los Castings, each member of the jury and the public evaluates the soloists with an individual device that has a green button and a red button. At the end of the performance, the jury's vote is revealed and, if it has obtained at least two 'greens', the percentage of acceptance it has had in the audience on the set is made visible. That data will be what marks their position against their opponents in the next phase. However, throughout the stage, the jury can unanimously award 20 golden tickets, which represent direct safe passage to the last phase.

In Los Rankings, which occupy two other programs, only the first 30 children in the classification compete and the mechanics are very similar to the previous stage. On this occasion, there are 16 children classified, 14 by public and jury verdict and two by golden ticket.

In the last galas, those classified are divided into groups and sing alone again, this time in performances equipped with lighting, costumes, choreography and other elements that will make them feel like true stars in a great visual spectacle. Although at this stage the jury continues to issue its verdict in certain cases, it is the public who has a greater responsibility when it comes to screening the contestants on their way to the grand final and winning the prize: a musical training valued at 5,000 euros.
