Vodafone will present at the 5G Forum 2020 of Malaga the advances and experiences of the 5G pilot in Andalusia, a project promoted by the Ministry of Economy and Business, and which is co-financed by Red.es through FEDER community funds.

From the hand of Red.esOn November 28 in Seville, Vodafone presented the outline of its 5G pilot project. Now, six months later, it will present in Malaga the 32 practical use cases in which it is applying the benefits of this technology in the energy, industry, smart cities, tourism, agriculture, health and dependency, security, emergencies and defense, society and digital economy sectors.

The 5G Forum 2020 will take place on May 6 and 7 at the National Digital Content Pole of Malaga and will bring together the main experts and Spanish companies. This is one of the most important meetings held this year in Spain to address the situation of 5G and its implementation.

In this way, the event organized by Medina Media Events, which has already opened registration, is presented as a unique opportunity in Spain for all companies and projects launched in our country to report on their progress and make practical demonstrations.

One of the first to confirm its presence at the 5G Forum has been the 5G-IA, the European public-private partnership for 5G infrastructure.

Now, Vodafone Spain joins in to share with the Spanish technology community the efforts of more than 50 companies and public administrations, which collaborate on their 32 use cases that will have visibility in the 5G Forum.

Vodafone will be one of the sponsors of the 5G Forum and will organize a round table in which, together with Red.es, it will share with attendees the experiences of some of the companies participating in its pilot project.

In the Demo Area of the Digital Content Hub of Malaga, Vodafone, thanks to its 5G networks, will also show attendees at the 5G Forum practical cases in various fields in which it has already proven the effectiveness of this technology, which is already available in 17 cities in Spain. For example: augmented reality in tourist visits to the Cathedral of Malaga, connectivity in conference centres, medication management for the elderly, virtual reality in museums and immersion in e-sports with virtual reality, among others.
