After its premiere in Bulgaria last November, A1 Group is now launching its streaming platform in the Austrian market.

Alexander Kuchar, director of technology and future services at A1 Telekom Austria group, says that “the launch is part of the approach One company – One brand, which reflects A1's unique brand strategy. For our television proposition, Zappware's award-winning Nexx 4.0 television platform enabled us to execute this unique brand strategy, through the deployment of A1 Xplore TV in our markets, covering our IPTV and DVB-C networks.”

The service launched on A1 Bulgaria last November and is now launching in Austria.

Therefore, A1 Xplore TV users will be able to find and enjoy great personalized content on a wide variety of devices, such as set-top boxes, mobile, web and through Google Chromecast.

In addition, Group A1 will open its platform to third parties and integrate them into the user interface of Zappware. Through the set-top boxes, A1 Xplore TV customers have direct access to YouTube, YouTube Kids, Amazon Prime Video and many more third-party apps.

Patrick Vos, CEO of Zappware, assures that "the launch of A1 powered by our network-agnostic back-office, it will turn viewers into fans of A1 Xplore TV.”

"The solution integrates all content seamlessly into a single experience for viewers. The integration of linear TV, VOD with third-party content such as YouTube or Amazon Prime Video is what the end user expects today. To create even bigger fans, personalized recommendations are always suggested to explore the content that you will like. Furthermore, we are delighted that the A1 Group has chosen us as its key partner to offer Xplore TV with a single solution in several markets that covers all possible network technologies," concludes Patrick Vos.
