Globomedia and Antena 3 prepare the return of 'Paco's Men'

The series that swept viewers from 2005 to 2010 returns to Antena 3 a decade later. Recording is expected to begin in the summer.

Paco's men, the series that swept viewers from 2005 to 2010, will return to Antenna 3 a decade later. Produced by Atresmedia TV in collaboration with Globomedia (The Mediapro Studio), the new stage starts with the usual Pacos, those endearing and disastrous neighborhood police officers. Maintaining the essence of the series, an important twist will mark a before and after in the history of the protagonists.

Paco Tous, Pepón Nieto or Carlos Santos, in the roles of Paco Miranda, Mariano and Povedilla, are some of the actors confirmed for the new season that is in the pre-production phase. Recordings will likely start this summer following strict health protocols.

Paco's men It has Montse García, Marc Cistaré (who was already screenwriter and co-executive producer in the previous stage) and Javier Pons as executive producers. Lucía Alonso-Allende is co-executive producer.

Together with Cistaré, creator of Victim No. 8 and screenwriter of Dream a Dream y The Boat, the creative team is completed with: José Javier Reguilón (Paco's men, The boat, Vis a Vis, Pepe's beach bar) Abraham Sastre (The Boarding School, Luna, the mystery of Calenda, Everything for the game, Victim No. 8, I love you, idiot) and Tom Fernández (Vote Juan, What is a bear for?, The Tower of Suso, Halfway).

Antena 3 premiered the series in October 2005. Becoming a television fiction success since its inception, the series reached 117 episodes and nine seasons, reaching its end in May 2010.

The premise of Paco's men It attracted millions of viewers from the beginning during its five years of broadcast. Throughout its more than one hundred episodes, the series averaged a 19.1% screen share and a total of 3.2 million viewers, reaching its historical record in January 2007 when it attracted 4,450,000. And it achieved its best share figure (30.6%) in the broadcast of the last episode of the fourth season.

Fiction marked an era, taking risks and breaking with the traditional features of police series. Now they return renewed, modern, but preserving their spirit.
