The director Dani de la Torre (The unknown, The shadow of the Law) returns behind the cameras to shoot the movie Live is life. This project will mark his return to the big screen after the series premiered this season. The Unit.

The story focuses on a group of five boys in the mid-eighties who try to fulfill their dreams on a San Juan night in a small town in Galicia.

The film's script has the unmistakable stamp of Albert Espinosa that, after the success of red bracelets, returns to film writing.

“When I received the script for Live is life, I saw again the child I was, I felt the sun again on an afternoon in the eighties, pedaling the bike with my friends, I remembered those endless afternoons of adventures again, where the only thing that mattered was squeezing every second before returning home,” says Dani de la Torre.

"Live is life is a hymn to life and happiness. It is the story of some kids who still believe in dreams and who undertake the biggest adventure you can imagine and save what is most important at the age of 15. For years I have wanted to write a family film that would touch many hearts and immediately take you back to childhood and adolescence. Having Dani de la Torre is a dream because it is like having found a soul mate who will give wings to this script," highlighted Albert Espinosa.

The film, which is in pre-production, plans to start filming in August in different locations in Orense, Lugo and Barcelona; including Monforte de Lemos, Dani de la Torre's hometown.

Behind the project are the producers Atresmedia Cinema, 4 Cats Pictures y Live is Life AIE. Warner Bros. Pictures Spain will be in charge of distributing the film in Spanish theaters in 2021.

Live is life proposes a trip of five friends who find themselves, the child who discovers the adult. The adult who refuses to stop being a child.

Like every year, Rodri leaves Catalonia and returns to his parents' Galician town to reunite with his gang. However, this year is different for him and his friends. Real-world problems begin to appear in their lives, threatening to tear them apart. Clinging to the friendship that unites them, the five friends plan to escape on Midsummer's Eve in search of a magical flower that, according to legend, grows at the top of a mountain and can make wishes come true. Because his only desire now is to solve the problem of his friend in trouble and thus be able to stay together. An adventure that will make them grow through a fascinating path full of action, emotion and hope, and that will leave them in the memory forever of that summer in which it played in the background. Live is life.
