PlayBox Neo introduces improvements to AirBox Neo and Cloud2TV

The new features provide easier and more flexible management for any scale of broadcaast broadcast.

PlayBox Neo introduces improvements to its servers Neo 1U and 3U and in Cloud2TV IP based. These improvements bring additional operational features and greater connectivity.

A new feature in AirBox Neo is the support of salida SRT. Designed for fast file transmission, SRT provides reliable transmission at the application layer with UDP (User Datagram Protocol) as underlying transport layer. It enables reliable and secure transmission of high-quality content over the public Internet. Controlling the latency parameter allows adjustments to be made to counteract slow links.

The new modes Caller, Listener y Rendezvous allow connection to the AirBox Neo broadcast server from more than one location, typically the primary and backup locations. You can activate the 128/256-bit AES encryption to protect the content. An operator can also now generate and send a dedicated password that can only be decoded at the receiver.

PlayBox Neo is also introducing a new integrated input/output architecture que puede ser compartida entre los servidores de AirBox Neo y el recientemente introducido Capture Suite. Other improvements to the AirBox Neo series include an NDI input plug-in, internal clock management, and a new device manager to manage live feeds.

PlayBox Neo's Cloud2TV is based on the concept of virtual channel broadcast. Completely software-centric, it enables TV channel managers to efficiently perform video production and content delivery at any desired scale.

Cloud2TV incorporates updated automatic import with the ability to recognize files that are still being loaded, automatically recognizes each media file and places it in a related container.

Deploying the purge task automatically cleans all deleted assets and media files from the “default storage.” Additionally, it offers improvements to file transcoding: all newly created media files become “default” automatically.

It also clears the tagging of playlists that contain media files that have not been checked by QA. Furthermore, audio normalization after QC checking has been implemented in AirBox Neo playback. Lastly, implementing password history prevents prolonged use of a password.
