These are the 35 short films preselected for the Goya 2021
The Film Academy announces the short films selected to compete in the awards in the animation, documentary and fiction categories.
35 short films have been selected to compete in the 35th edition of the Goya Awards, which on March 6, 2021 will recognize the best short-term works in animation, documentary and fiction.
The short film commission has been in charge of selecting ten titles for animation, another ten in the documentary section, and fifteen in the fiction category. These short films will be able to be voted on in the coming weeks by all academics to decide which ones will finally be eligible for the 2021 Goya Awards.
The pieces of animation that can qualify for the Goya Award are Blue & Malone: Casos imposibles, by Abraham López Guerrero; Carne, by Camila Kater; The great Corelli, by Abel Carbajal; Homeless Home, by Alberto Vázquez; Metamorphosis, by Carla Pereira and Juanfran Jacinto; Oldie but Goldie, by Nacho Subirats; Reflection, by Juan Carlos Mostaza; Roberto, by Carmen Córdoba González; Routine: the ban, by Sam Ortí Martí; and fly, by Carlos Gómez-Mira Sagrado.
In the section documentary figuran 57 days, by Laura Brasero and Mario Lumbreras; Before I Die, by Iker Esteibarlanda; Beyond The Glacier, by David Rodríguez Muñiz; Biography of the corpse of a woman, de Mabel Lozano; The desired, by Óscar Bernàcer; Stealth, by Pedro García Campos and Pol González Novell; fires, by Álex García; Paradise, by Mateo Cabeza; Paradise on fire, by José Antonio Hergueta; and They're just fish, by Ana Serna and Paula Iglesias.
Finally, those chosen in the category of fiction son December 16th, by Álvaro Gago; to the face, by Javier Marco Rico; Beef, by Ingride Santos; Distances, by Susan Béjar; Those who are silent, the Albert People; Expenses included, by Javier Macipe; The ephemeral, by Jorge Muriel; Loca, by María Salgado Gispert; María, by Paco Ruiz Giménez; Mateo's mother (Matthew's mother), by Aitor Arregi and Jose Mari Goenaga; Los Bengalas Orchestra, by David Valero Simón; Feet and hearts, by Adan Aliaga; Thrice, by Paco Ruiz Gutiérrez; any car, by David Pérez Sañudo; and Vera, by Laura Rubirola Sala.
