First transcontinental remote production in the cloud with Ravenna
Esta experiencia formará parte de una serie de seminarios web titulados Sesiones Remotas de Ravenna which have shown a variety of ways in which this technology can be used for remote production. Previous webinars are available on the page web of Ravenna, and registrations are still being accepted for the next event on December 15.
This session is the result of collaboration between Ravenna partners, Merging Technologies, Ross Video y Direct Out. Between them, they will be sending Ravenna/AES67 streams back and forth in real time over the public Internet using Amazon Web Services (AWS) between five different sites in North America and Europe.
This seminar will cover the demonstration setup, required technologies, equipment used, and other considerations to make practical use of the capability in real-world applications. It will be Andreas Hildebrand, of ALC NetworX, responsible for hosting the session that brings together all the lines that have been explored and discussed in the Remote Sessions webinar series.
"Keeping staff safe while allowing the show to go on is paramount, and we can all be proud of how quickly the industry has reacted to develop these solutions. Many of these techniques are likely to become a permanent part of the production landscape as they reduce the number of staff needed on site, reducing travel and time away from home, and that benefits everyone. We are proud to be at the forefront of such an important development with our Ravenna technology."
