'The Mandalorian' tops the ranking of the most pirated series in 2020

After finishing 'Game of Thrones' (HBO) in the spring of 2019, 'The Mandalorian' has taken the dishonorable witness in the ranking of the most pirated productions outside of their broadcast platforms.

The successful series of Disney Plus, The Mandalorian, has positioned itself as the most pirated series on the popular torrenting site BitTorrent.

According to an analysis of TorrentFreak, Game of Thrones had held first place in the disgraceful piracy ranking for the last seven years. After ending the HBO series in the spring of 2019, The Mandalorian has taken the baton. Its first season became the number 3 most watched program in 2019, reaching the first position in 2020.

This data reflects the success of the series and the Disney Plus service, which despite piracy, reached 80 million subscribers in December, just 13 months after its launch. In comparison, Netflix has 190 million subscribers after 13 years of activity.

In second place among the most pirated views we find the Amazon original series The Boys, followed by Westworld, also from HBO. Below we find Vikings (HBO), Star Trek: Picard (CBS), Rick and Morty (Adult Swim), The Walking Dead (AMC), The Outsider (HBO), The Arrow y The Flash (CW).
