RTVE opens the 2020 call for children's animated series for co-production

The call will value the originality, competitiveness and innovation of content that offers quality entertainment with solid values.

Spanish Radio Television abre este viernes 21 de febrero el plazo de presentación de propuestas de series de animación infantiles para coproducción. La convocatoria de 2020 busca proyectos dirigidos a niños y niñas de 4 a 12 años que ofrezcan entretenimiento de calidad con sólidos valores. El plazo de presentación finaliza el 15 de abril.

En la convocatoria se valorará la originalidad, competitividad e innovación of content that offers quality entertainment with solid values. Those projects that achieve the “Specially Recommended for Children” rating will be especially valued. Projects must be aimed at the Clan audience, 4-12 years old

RTVE is willing to participate in content that is appropriate to the network's editorial line and that complements the programming on Clan to be broadcast or made available in its media.

The Corporation will value well-designed and built projects, economically viable and with good international projection; projects with values, designed to educate through entertainment and entertain by educating; as well as projects with cross-media potential that allow the channel to continue fulfilling its public service obligations in new windows or screens.

With the aim of promoting the animation industry, productions made by spanish companies.

The animation call is included in RTVE's effort to support the Spanish audiovisual industry through the investment of 6% of its eligible income from the previous year.

RTVE reserves the right to broadcast those co-productions in which it participates according to its programming needs, corporate strategy or business situation. At no time will emission conditions outside these precepts be accepted.

A total of five children's animation series were selected in RTVE's 2019 animation call. The projects chosen by Clan to enter the co-production regime were Bento, Alice's Diary, Croco Doc, Turu's Farm y Petit.
