RTVE selects eight series in the 2022 animation call
Six new projects ('Yanko y Dina', 'My brother is a Trez', 'Audrey Shelter', 'Samuel, Superthings' and 'Zebra con Lunares'), and the seasonal renewals of 'Croco Doc' and 'Momonsters', chosen among the 29 projects submitted to RTVE's animation call this year.
The call sought attractive formats aimed at boys and girls from 0 to 14 years old. Charismatic characters that generate emotions have been valued; humor, innocent and simple for the little ones and with references to popular culture for the older ones with a positive approach. With special interest in values such as critical thinking, equality, coexistence, healthy habits or environmental protection. 26 new series and 3 season renewals have been submitted to the call.
Yanko and Dina
Fun adventure series in which Dina, a girl, and Yanko, a Yeti, face the evil Cuddy, a brilliant and attractive tycoon obsessed with dinosaurs. The challenge is to recover dinosaur eggs scattered all over the planet before he does. Produced by Zinkia, for children from 6 to 8.
My brother is a Trez
Coco is an active and creative 6-year-old girl and her little brother is an impulsive, big and good-natured tyrannosaurus cub. Together they will seek to give second lives to craft objects and from there they will create a story or adventure. It naturally integrates the promotion of recycling. Produced by Mr. Klaus Studios. For children from 4 to 7 years old.
Audrey Shelter
Audrey, 8, lives at her family's endangered species shelter. She knows that caring for wild animals is not an easy task that requires some empathy and a great sense of humor. The main plot can revolve around anything: the arrival of a new animal, a problem that arises for one of the resident animals or a conflict between our child protagonists. Produced by Peekaboo, for children ages 4 to 8.
Samuel
It tells the life of Samuel, a 10-year-old boy, and his friends from his first year of ESO in the 2000s, told in first person through his diary in minimalist, 2D animation, with musical spots, in 21 short episodes full of intense emotions. A series by the young artist Émile Tronche who does a memory exercise of her own childhood and pre-adolescence. Produced by Pikkukala, it is intended for a preteen or adolescent audience.
Superthings
In the city of Kaboom objects can come to life thanks to the kaboom substance. Some decide to do pranks and others to maintain order and calm. To avoid conflicts, the K-Olympics are created: a tournament where the Hooligan Kabooms, led by Professor-K, and the Justice Kabooms, organized by the Mayor and Enigma, face fun tests with the help of a group of experts, human children experienced in Superthings and their abilities, the Kaboom Kids. Produced by Tandem, for children from 6 to 9 years old.
Zebra with polka dots
The Lunares family is unique in the savanna. It is made up of a chicken, a leopard, a deer and a sweet zebra with dots. Thanks to this diverse mix, each day becomes an unexpected adventure that Bella, the youngest of the family, records with her camera to show the rest of the families that diversity is what's fun. Croco Doc (2nd season)
Second season about Dr. Croco Doc after the good audience performance of the first. In the town of Zoolandia, life flows serenely and peacefully and each animal dedicates itself to its favorite activities, although small incidents happen every day. Luckily, there is someone capable of restoring serenity thanks to his ability to cure all ailments, Dr. Croco Doc. The series has the endorsement of the Spanish Association of Pediatrics and introduces children to the experience of an illness with tranquility and fun. Momonsters (3rd season)
This is one of Clan's most successful preschool series. The Momonsters want to be children's best friends and go to the Momonster academy where every day a different boy or girl will show them what they like most in the world. Then it will be up to the Momonsters to prove that they are capable of doing it themselves. Produced by BigBanBox, for children from 3 to 5 years old.
