RTVE will co-produce five new animated series.

The initiative for co-production of animated series 2023 of RTVE It already has the five projects that will be promoted and broadcast through Clan. In addition, the corporation has announced that, for the first time, it will make a second call in the same year.

The call, to which they have submitted 26 new series and two season renewals, was looking for attractive formats aimed at boys and girls from 0 to 14 years old. Charismatic characters that generate emotions have been valued; humor, innocent and simple for the little ones, and with references to popular culture for the older ones with a positive approach. In addition, special interest has been given to values such as critical thinking, equality, coexistence, healthy habits and environmental protection.

The five selected series are Magic Kika, a production by B Water Animation Studios in co-production with Germany of comedy-fantasy and adventure based on the book saga Hexe Lilli (Kika Superbruja); Sendokai, a new entry in the Sendokai universe that combines sport and fantasy produced by Kotoc; Relax Zeus! which tells the adventures of the teenage children of Zeus directed by Arx Anima in co-production with Germany and Austria, and Ghostbros, a Koyi/Zinkia creation that combines the supernatural with humor. In addition, the call will also promote the second season of my real neighbors, a Pikkukala series in co-production with Finland, Ireland and Belgium.

As a novelty for this year, RTVE has confirmed that it will promote a new call for co-production of animated series. This second call in 2023, which will take place in the last quarter of the year, “responds to requests from the sector and seeks to facilitate the development of new quality animation products to feed RTVE's schedules.”
