'Pocoyó', 'Los Wavies' and three new projects, among the children's series that RTVE will promote

The 2025 call for animated series RTVE for Clan it has resulted in the choice of three unreleased formats, 'Violeta', 'Star Raider' and 'The Secret Explorers', and the return of two old acquaintances: 'Pocoyó' and 'Los Wavies'.

The call, to which they submitted 27 proposals of the September 1 to October 15, was looking for attractive formats aimed at boys and girls from 0 to 14 years old. They have been valued charismatic characters that generate emotions; humor, innocent and simple for the little ones and with references to popular culture for the older ones with a positive approach. Special interest has also been placed on the promotion of values such as critical thinking, equality, coexistence, healthy habits or environmental protection.

Among the selected productions is Violet of Sultana Films, a production with the support of the Office of Equality and Gender Violence whose “sincere look” will lead adults to consider deep-rooted customs. Star Raider of Animate Media Studio together with France TV and RAI, it launches into anime to propose a story of youth adventures in a science fiction environment, while The secret explorers of Liquid Rock Entertainment will promote teamwork and critical thinking by telling the story of an international team of extraordinary boys and girls who act in the shadows to protect the planet from global threats.

RTVE will also support the return of The Wavies, whose second season will bring us closer to new adventures of the five creatures of the Wawaland traveling planet. Produced by Imagic TV, its multicultural approach and vibrant aesthetics position it as an innovative proposal for families and children. Finally, season 6B of Pocoyo, produced by Planeta Ely AIE, will focus on the construction of the iconic character's new and surreal home, providing “a new source of fun for everyone.”
