The television channel Somos premieres 'Our Comics', a new format of its own production

Twelve self-produced reports, presented by José Corbacho, will cover the life and career of performers such as Tony Leblanc, José Sacristán, Lina Morgan, Fernando Esteso, Antonio Garisa, Gracita Morales or Paco Martínez Soria.

The television channel dedicated to Spanish cinema We are, produced by AMC Networks and available on Vodafone TV, Orange TV and Grupo Euskaltel, exclusively premieres its new format Our comedians, a series of self-produced reports lasting approximately 15 minutes that, each month of 2021, will pay tribute to a key performer in our cinema, coinciding with his birthday month.

The actor, director and producer, Jose Corbacho will be in charge of presenting each of these reports that will cover the life and career of twelve of the artists who have contributed the most to our classic cinema: Fernando Sancho, Fernando Esteso, Lina Morgan, Rafaela Aparicio, Tony Leblanc, Antonio Garisa, Rafael Alonso, Antonio Ozores, José Sacristán, Alberto Closas, Gracita Morales and Paco Martínez Soria.

The pieces will be framed within twelve monthly specials of programming with the best of each comedian's filmography. The first of these specials will be dedicated to Fernando Sancho. The reports will feature a large number of testimonies, starting with interviews with the honorees themselves in the case of José Sacristán and Fernando Esteso; personal testimonies of his descendants such as Emma Ozores (daughter of Antonio Ozores), Alberto Closas Jr. (son of Alberto Closas) and Piti Sancho (daughter of Fernando Sancho); and current colleagues and heirs of the craft such as Concha Velasco, Miguel Rellán, Secun de la Rosa, Pepe Viyuela, Luis Callejo, Pepe Carabias, Juan Muñoz, Antonio Resines, Pedro Casablanc, Nathalie Seseña, Silvia Abril or the director David Serrano. The interviewees will talk about the life, anecdotes and legacy of these comedians who marked so many generations of viewers, starred in unforgettable moments in cinema and became references. Guests will also reflect on the evolution and essence of their profession and why comedians continue to be more necessary than ever.
