Vionlabs strengthens its commitment to emotional data services with a financing round
The closing of the latest funding round will allow Vionlabs to meet increased demand for its pioneering AI-powered emotional data services.
The Swedish company Vionlabs, specializes in content analysis powered by artificial intelligence (AI), has closed a new financing round and hiring following significant revenue and customer growth. The company's growth is attributed to the global acceleration in demand for streaming services to differentiate their video offerings by analyzing the emotional structure of their content libraries and creating personalized recommendations.
Vionlabs has increased its revenue from one year to the next thanks to a 700% increase in its international client list. To maximize the effectiveness of its services and better respond to its customers' needs, Vionlabs secured new funding which it has already put in place, hiring a chief operating officer and several key experts in AI and machine learning.
The company appointed Cecilia Chen as Chief Operating Officer to manage and drive the company's continued global growth. Chen brings deep experience to the role from her previous role as Director of Business Development at Acast, the world's largest global podcast marketplace, where she designed and implemented an international expansion strategy for the company and significantly grew its revenue and customer base.

In the last year, Vionlabs has strengthened its product portfolio and has carried out content analysis on more than 50,000 titles. In addition to its content analysis platform, Vionlabs launched its API Emotional Fingerprint, which is deployed through a Data as a Service model to enable media companies to make better decisions based on AI-generated video data and insights, including the emotional content of the video.
