El primer largometraje de la directora marroquí Maryam Touzani, ‘Adam’, ha sido elegido como la mejor película del certamen por el jurado profesional del II Festival Online Mujeres de Cine.

the movie Adam, of Maryam Touzani, ha resultado ganadora del premio a Mejor Película del II Festival Online Mujeres de Cine. Esta coproducción marroquí-belga ha sido seleccionada por el jurado oficial, integrado por Julieta Martialay, directora de la Revista Fotogramas; Belén Funes, directora de cine, guionista, y ganadora de la 1ª edición del Festival Online Mujeres de Cine con su película La hija de un ladrón; y Lara Lopez Conde, director of audiovisual rights purchases for Spanish and Independent Cinema of Movistar+.

On the other hand, the RC Service Award to best director of photography, has fallen on Daniela Cajías for his work on the acclaimed film The Girls. The jury in charge of appointing him was composed on this occasion by the actress Nuria Prims, the director of photography Gina Ferrer, and the producer and director Jose Alayon. This award is added to those that Daniela Cajías has received in prestigious competitions such as the Goya, the Gaudí, and the Malaga Film Festival.
Alayón has highlighted Cajías' work for “the use of natural light and the ability to stand at a necessary distance to sincerely capture the passage from childhood to youth.”

The Audience Award, which will be awarded with the vote of the contest's spectators, will be announced starting Wednesday, April 7, the date on which the viewing and voting period for the contest ends.

The Online Women of Film Festival thus closes a 2nd edition marked by the high quality of the proposals, and by their outstanding heterogeneity. An excellent harvest that highlights the importance of the work of women who make films, and the interest and commitment of the contest.
A contest that stands as a great support tool for cinema made by women through streaming - accessible from any point in Spain via the Internet through the Women of Cinema VOD platform - and which, in addition, brings together more support every year.

This contest is subsidized by the Ministry of Culture and Sports, and in its second edition is sponsored by RC Service and the collaboration of AVA Foundation, AEC (Association of directors of photography), Cinema for Women, Coofilm, Directors of Photography, DOCMA, Espiralarte, La Gran Belleza, PNR (Platform of New Directors), Union of Filmmakers, WOFEST, Mancomunidad Bajo Segura, Women in the Film Industry Music (MIM) and CIMA.
