Telestream acquires ContentAgent from Vecima Networks
Thanks to this operation, the company, in the hands of Genstar Capital, will increase its presence in production and post-production and other new markets.
Telestream, a Genstar Capital portfolio company, has acquired ContentAgent a Vecima Networks. ContentAgent is an application used worldwide by premier broadcasters, production companies, and post-production companies to streamline content creation workflows.
ContentAgent was created to automate common tasks such as ingesting camera cards for editorial teams and creating file-based products such as broadcast masters and display prints.
“ContentAgent has performed very well in the production and post-production markets and we intend to reinforce ongoing development and utilize its strengths as we continue to expand into additional markets, including creative agencies and corporate businesses,” he comments. With its intuitive graphical user interface, ContentAgent streamlines media ingestion by facilitating the transition from field production to post-production. Additionally, it brings great media processing efficiency to anyone developing content for new media and enterprise communications platforms.
The ContentAgent team, based primarily in the UK, will be fully integrated into the Telestream family. Company will deploy additional resources to support ContentAgent customers worldwide
