Harvard University broadcasts its sports productions with JVC cameras

The GY-HC500SPC Connected Cam and GY-HM890 JVC have been chosen by the Harvard University to capture your sports productions.

The university broadcasts approximately 300 events both live and recorded, most of which are now avoided via ESPN+. The school also disseminates its productions through its various social media channels, such as Facebook y YouTube.

Ease of use

Imry Halevi, assistant director of athletics at Harvard University, opted for the inclusion of JVC in his workflow: "I have always been a fan of JVC's image quality. I have used cameras from other manufacturers and I find JVC the best." Beyond the quality of the images, Halevi explains that he chose the camcorders because they are “easy to use”: “With all the menus and controls in the same position on all models, we can provide our students with a foundation so that they can easily switch between the school's current cameras, as well as so that they feel comfortable using any new camcorders that we may acquire.”

JVC respondió a la petición de Halevi con las GY-HC500SPC ConnectedCams. They were recently used to cover Harvard's ski season: "It turned out to be the coldest day of the year. The students faced -20 degree wind chills. It was crazy! My biggest worry was that the cameras would simply stop working," he recalls. Fortunately, JVC devices arrived equipped with packages Porta Brace Polar Bear and Hot Hands hand warmers.

"We filmed from 8 in the morning to 6 in the afternoon. Not once did a camera turn off, there wasn't even a threat. It was incredible. (...) I hope they work under normal conditions, but when I put unexpected conditions to them and they continue to work, that's when we know that we have a brand of cameras for life," concludes Halevi.
