Movistar+ will review Raphael's story through an original documentary series

Raphael, the latest original documentary series Movistar+ in collaboration with Dadá Films & Entertainment y Universal Music Spain, filming has already begun.

Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Málaga, Linares (Jaén), Mexico, Miami and Los Angeles are the cities that will serve as a base to trace all the points that outline Raphael's trajectory. The renowned artist, 78 years old, will conclude the initiatives to commemorate his 60-year career with this original series of four chapters.

Movistar+, the main promoter of the format, qualifies this project as “different”, since it has the involvement of Raphael himself and access to an unpublished photographic and audiovisual archive, provided by his own participation. His wife, Natalia Figueroa, will also participate in this documentary; and his three children, Jacobo, Alejandra and Manuel Martos.

Arnáiz y Ortega, nominated for Award Goya by Anatomy of a Dandy (2020), are the creators and directors of this documentary series. This is how they summarize the experience of leading the project: "When someone faces a project of these dimensions, it is inevitable that vertigo will appear. Rarely do you find an active artist who has been on stages around the world for six decades. What is the enigma that has made him achieve this? What is the force that has pushed him all these years to continue being among the numbers one? With the respect that the myth deserves, we undertake this path along the path of man, that reflective Rafael Martos who looks to the past, remembers who he is and continues to add chapters to his incredible story.”
