José María García, from fiction to documentary on Movistar Plus+

After the broadcast of the series 'Kings of the Night', a story inspired by the fight for the audience at night on Spanish sports radio, the journalist José María García, who inspired the fiction, will now be the protagonist of a documentary Movistar Plus+.

The series (which does not yet have a title), produced in collaboration with Dadá Films & Entertainment, has already begun filming in Madrid and will arrive on the platform in 2023.

The documentary is directed by the Goya nominees Charlie Arnaiz y Alberto Ortega, responsible for Raphaelismo (2022) y Anatomy of a Dandy (2020).

Adolfo Valor, creador de la serie ‘Reyes de la noche0 junto con Cristóbal Garrido, ha tuiteado tras conocerse el rodaje ahora del documental “Tranquilos, si no me gusta llamo y seguro que la cancelan”, en una clara alusión a la cancelación de una nueva temporada de la serie pese a los buenos resultados de audiencia.
