Quicklink strengthens ITS connectivity by joining the SRT Alliance

The SRT protocol reaches devices Quicklink following the company's decision to join the SRT Alliance initiative of Haivision.

The first Quicklink product to become SRT compatible is the STS410, a hybrid switch. The firm plans to deploy the protocol in each and every one of its video and audio contribution solutions.

The SRT Alliance, founded by Haivision in April 2017, currently has more than 450 members. Its mission is to overcome the challenges of low-latency live streaming by supporting the collaborative development of SRT (Secure Reliable Transport), a streaming protocol free and open-source. Originally developed by Haivision, it allows video transmission over the public Internet with low latency and securely.

A growing community

Richard Rees, CEO of Quicklink, highlights that customer demand has been the driving force behind them joining the SRT Alliance: "Quicklink is very excited and proud to join the SRT Alliance and adopt SRT as a protocol within our solutions.
