Comcast y ViacomCBS have joined forces to offer a new OTT platform called SkyShowtime. The service will reach 20 European territories, including Spain, in 2022.

SkyShowtime will bring together entertainment content, films and original series from the brand portfolio of NBCUniversal, Sky y ViacomCBS, including the titles of Showtime, Nickelodeon, Paramount Pictures, Paramount+ Originals, Sky Studios, Universal Pictures y Peacock. The service's extensive catalog will cover all types of genres and categories, such as drama, children's and family series, key franchises, first-run movies, local programming, documentaries/real content, etc.

The new service SVOD It is expected to be launched in 2022, subject to approval by regulatory agencies. Ultimately, it will be available to consumers in Albania, Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Finland, Hungary, Kosovo, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia and Sweden. This partnership will take the form of a joint venture, with equal joint investment and control by ViacomCBS and Comcast.

New content every month

SkyShowtime will bring together more than 10,000 hours of entertainment from some of the “top creators” around the world. The new service will include first-run movies and new television seasons monthly, as well as a catalog with the most notable content from Comcast and ViacomCBS.
