SkyShowtime Spain, latest platform to offer a plan with ads
The more than 20 markets in which the VOD platform operates SkyShowtime, including Spain, will begin offering a plan with ads starting in April that will join the standard subscription already offered by the service that brings together titles from Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, DreamWorks Animation, Paramount+, Showtime, Sky Studios and Peacock.
Monty Sarhan, CEO of SkyShowtime, justifies this decision in its philosophy of “offering great entertainment at a great price”, which is why they continue to invest to bring “the best of Hollywood and attractive content to consumers in our market.” In fact, the platform has anticipated that, throughout 2024, members will have access to an even larger catalog of local series and movies from Spain, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Romania and Sweden.
The CEO of SkyShowtime has also indicated that the launch of its plan with ads will allow them to “maintain their leadership” by offering consumers “an even more affordable entertainment option for the whole family” and maintaining the same catalog as in the current plan. These contents include film premieres as Asteroid City by Wes Anderson, Mission: Impossible – Mortal Sentence, the winner at the Golden Globes Oppenheimer, Paw Patrol: The Super Movie y Ninja Turtles: Mutant Chaos, o series as A Gentleman in Moscow, Apples Never Fall (An unexpected setback), Bargain, HALO (T2), Knuckles, Lawmen: Bass Reeves, Mary & George, Sexy Beast, Star Trek: Discovery (T1-5), Ted, The Curse, The Envoys (T2), The Stallone Family (T2) and Veronika.
