NAB Show officially cancels its 2021 edition and calls the industry to April 2022
After a few complex days in which large broadcast companies decided not to expose in NAB Show 2021, the organization of the Las Vegas event has officially canceled the event.
In an official statement, Chris Brown, executive vice president and director of the events area of NAB, has pointed out “the pandemic and the increase in the Delta variant” as the main causes of the “unexpected and insurmountable challenges” that have led to the cancellation of the fair.
Faced with this situation, and despite having been “working tirelessly for more than a year to bring our industry together safely in Las Vegas,” NAB Show has made this decision while maintaining “the interest and security of the industry” as its priority. In Brown's own words: “NAB Show is the premier destination for the media and entertainment industry, and we will not move forward with a show that offers anything less than the excellence our community expects and deserves from us.”
Once NAB Show 2021 has been cancelled, the North American organization sets its sights on the 2022 edition of the fair, scheduled for April 23 to 27, which according to Brown “will serve to rekindle our passion for our business and focus on a bright future.”
