Tappx acquires PlayOn Content, a tool that transforms written and photographic content into videos
PlayOn Content, a rapidly growing video creation, monetization and distribution tool, has been acquired by Tappx, an AdTech company that offers technology for digital advertising.
This platform, which to date has earned the trust of agents such as HuffPost, Rush Radio o Group Kiss FM in Spain and Televisa, Grupo Expansión y GL MultimediaP in Latin America, helps media manage additional video inventory that has its own audiovisual content player. In addition to delivering and monetizing personalized audiovisual content, PlayOn Content uses advanced technology to transform written and photographic content into videos and so they can be monetized. Thanks to the acquisition, PlayOn Content will be able to benefit from Tappx's contextual monetization technology.
Regarding business operations, both companies will combine their resources to promote sustainable growth and will share knowledge about current and future products. At the beginning of the year, Tappx and PlayOn Content already collaborated for the launch of Contextualize-It, a tool designed to analyze audiovisual content and the provision of contextualized advertising.
Daniel Reina, CEO of Tappx, is excited about the future. As he states: “By uniting the PlayOn Content content player and Tappx's monetization and contextualization solutions, we can provide much more value to media by allowing them to make an important qualitative leap in their video content generation and monetization strategy.” On the other hand, Jordi Sabat, founder and CEO of PlayOn Content, points out that "in a volatile situation like the current one, becoming part of a group like Tappx, with notable synergies both in the business model and in the development of new products, was a necessity and also a challenge, since to grow you have to know how to be part of something greater and be able to learn, always from humility."
