Panasonic introduces new range of 4K PTZ cameras, remote operations panel and more
Five new CNS 4K PTZ cameras, the AK-HRP1010GJ remote operations panel and the AV-UHS5M6G NDI unit join the CNS product portfolio. Panasonic.
Connected Solutions Company (CNS), a company belonging to Panasonic, has developed five new PTZ models: AW-UE80W/K, AW-UE50W/K, AW-UE40W/K, AW-UE20W/K y HD AW-HE20W/K, which will be launched progressively starting in the first quarter of 2022. These solutions present among their features a direct drive system based on Panasonic's own technology for smooth vertical and horizontal direction; a direct link system with the remote camera controller and facial tracking and human body detection software; and compatibility with both IS as with SRT.
Although PTZ models vary slightly from each other, we find several common points, such as resolution 4K (except AW-HE20), up to 24x zoom (12x in 20 modes), stabilization, small size, support for RTMP / RTMPS, integration capacity in AR/VR environments thanks to FreeD (model AW-UE80W/K), and outputs such as SDI, HDMI, USB o Ethernet. Likewise, the new Panasonic PTZs are compatible with a wide range of accessories, such as tracking software. AW-SF100/AW-SF200 or the controller AW-RM50AG.

Remote Operation Panel (ROP) AK-HRP1010GJ
In parallel, Panasonic has announced the launch in November 2021 of the Remote Operation Panel (ROP) AK-HRP1010GJ for Panasonic studio camera systems. With a ¼ rack size, the AK-HRP1010GJ has been designed with operability and versatility in mind. The layout of the operation buttons on the panel (gain, color temperature...) are customizable, simplifying operation by prioritizing frequently used functions. Adding to this ease of use is a new high-resolution 3.5-inch color LCD touch panel, with quick access to numerous functions.
Panasonic's solution also supports serial connection, IP connection for control and PoE power. In addition to the connectivity of studio cameras (it can currently manage up to 99 cameras), support for the IP connection of Panasonic PTZ cameras, memory card recorders and cinema cameras is also planned.
AV-UHS5M6G, interfas NDI
A few months later, in March 2022, Panasonic will continue to support the compatibility of its equipment with IS with the interface AV-UHS5M6G for him Live Switcher AV-UHS500, which was launched in February 2020. With the NDI I/F unit, the AV-UHS500 becomes capable of transmitting high-quality, low-latency video of IS y NDI|HX. The unit attaches to the back of the AV-UHS500 body, allowing the construction of IP transmission systems with a single LAN cable, reducing setup time.
The new AV-UHS5M6G also allows you to perform remote camera control operations with those Panasonic cameras compatible with NDI, thus enabling new workflows.
