Royal Media Services redoubles its commitment to Lawo's AoIP solutions

Once again, audio over IP technology from Theirs stars in the renewal of equipment of the Kenyan station Royal Media Services.

Following the integrations of mixing consoles and IP infrastructure solutions from Theirs on other radio stations Royal Media Services (RMS), the Kenyan company has decided to install a console Crystal of 12 faders In another of his studies: that of Radio Citizen, located in Nairobi. Project management and installation were carried out by BYCE Broadcast, specialized in Lawo systems.

RMS, Theirs y BYCE Broadcast begin their relationship in 2017, with the installation of their first mixing console Theirs. Crystals are currently in service in Radio Citizen, Ramogi FM, Inooro FM y HOT96, all of them belonging to Royal Media Services and based in Nairobi. Crystals base their network connection on standards Ravenna y AES67, while using the remote control protocol Ember+ open source for automation management. Likewise, these consoles, with a “clean and intuitive” design, have advanced functions such as hands-free mixing AutoMix and microphone gain control AutoGain. On the other hand, Crystal integrates graphical interface creation software as standard. Lawo Vistool, which provides touch controls that can be customized.
