VIS and Oficina Burman film the second season of 'Cecilia', a Paramount+ original

Paramount+ confirms the start of filming of the second season of its original series Cecilia, produced by VIS in association with Burman Office (The Mediapro Studio).

Created by Daniel Burman, the series is written by Juan Matías Carballo, Olfa Masmoudi, Andrea Ortega Lee and his own Burman. Kenya Marquez is the director of this exclusive production of Paramount+ which has a international cast headed by Mariana Trevino along with Marimar Vega, Erik Hayser, Michell Brown, Martín Altomaro, Mariana Zaragoza and Monica Ayos, among others.

In this second season, Cecilia and her family find themselves facing a catastrophic scenario: an unexpected fire burns the family's dreams of rebuilding the bakery to ashes. Cecilia is once again the center of the relationships of this dysfunctional family.

“Will they be able to take advantage of this opportunity for reconstruction to heal their ties, or will they re-emerge with the same vices, like a karma that neither fire nor time can destroy?”, the synopsis of this new installment of Cecilia. “Cansada de las relaciones tóxicas que la rodean, Cecilia informa a su familia de que una vez que cobren el seguro, dividirá el dinero para que cada uno pueda hacer su propia vida, su propio negocio, sin tener que depender más de ella”, anticipa Paramount+.

The first season of Cecilia fue premiada en el New York Festivals TV FILM Awards with the premio de Plata al Mejor Guion.
