Suma Content closes the season with 3 productions underway and 9 projects in development
The production company created by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi takes stock of its first stage as Take Content, evolution of the original Suma Latina.
Responsible for the acclaimed series Paquita Salas y Poison, and from the play and film The Call, Suma Content closes a first season that began with the premiere of A Christmas with Samantha Hudson (Atresmedia) and which continues with the current filming of the second season of Cardo (Atresmedia). In the near future, the Javis production company will begin filming the series The Messiah (Movistar+) and the production of Dressed in Blue (Atresmedia). To all this, add nine projects in development that have not yet been revealed.
Javier Ambrossi considers that the challenges for this first year of Take Content are fulfilled: "I think that Javi and I have found a balance between producers and authors, between being able to continue growing as creators with projects like La Mesías, of which we are directors, scriptwriters and producers, and other projects in which we accompany the creators to reach the best possible place. This year, we have met one of our main challenges: to be able to continue growing without abandoning either of the two facets. They are two different paths that complement each other and both can be done by dedicating time and love." Javier Calvo shares Ambrossi's assessment, pointing out that “it is very exciting that Suma Content has such enriching and powerful projects in development and production.”
For its part, Beltrán Gortázar, CEO of Suma Content, explains that in this first season “all our business expectations have been exceeded, driven mainly by the extraordinary situation of the audiovisual market and the good reception that our different proposals have had from clients.” “In a very short time, we have become a focus of attracting talent, where the best authors find their space to develop unique stories and where the market knows that it can turn to obtain differential projects, with an excellent level and rigor of production,” he adds.
Recently the independent production company has inaugurated its new offices in the center of Madrid, being able to accommodate more talents and their teams for the creation of different projects. The producer will join the LGTBQ+ Pride celebrations with its own float on July 9 in Madrid.
