The Italian production company PTB prepares for UHD with the HVS-1200 switcher from For-A

PTB is a production company based in Bergamo, near Milan, trusted by the main broadcasters in Italy and parts of Europe. One of its most valued assets is its mobile unit, used for the production of sports and events. To meet the growing demand for content on UHD, PTB has decided to renew this vehicle with several solutions ready to support these resolutions, among which is the switcher HVS-1200.

The solution of For-A integrated is a HD/4k switcher that uses connection SDI, including 12G-SDI o quad-link 3G-SDI. This meant that the new switch could be installed in the mobile unit without the need for major rewiring that would put the unit out of service for an extended period. To achieve relevant flexibility, the HVS-1200 incorporates an innovative system of keys y effects, graphics insertion ClassX y two independent multiviewer channels, all of this occupying a space of 3U.
