ARRI receives an Emmy for more than a century of creativity and technology

At the 74th Engineering, Science and Technology Emmy Awards ceremony, ARRI has been awarded the Philo T. Farnsworth Award for Corporate Achievement recognizing a century of design and manufacturing of camera and lighting systems for the film and television industries.

Matthias Erb, presidente del Consejo Ejecutivo de ARRI, fue el encargado de recoger el premio, que lleva el nombre del inventor y técnico de televisión estadounidense Philo Farnsworth y que se entrega desde 2003. “En nombre de todos los empleados de ARRI, agradezco a la Academia de Televisión este tremendo honor. El Premio Philo T. Farnsworth a los Logros Corporativos es un galardón muy especial ya que reconoce toda la historia de nuestra compañía. Desde sus inicios, ARRI se ha dedicado a crear las mejores herramientas y soluciones para la comunidad de producción global. Este premio nos impulsa a seguir dando forma activamente al futuro de la televisión”.

"Industry professionals have long trusted the stability and versatility of ARRI equipment in a portfolio that includes digital cameras, lenses, camera accessories, archival technologies, lamp heads and lighting accessories. In addition to offering exclusive technologies, ARRI Rental services and equipment provide camera, lighting and grip packages to professional productions," notes the jury made up of renowned engineers.

"ARRI cameras have connected the creativity and technology that have made filmed entertainment the leading medium of our time. Dedicated to maintaining its place at the forefront of developing future technologies for motion image capture, ARRI has been at it for more than 100 years... and counting," adds the jury.

This is the fifth time that the German manufacturer has seen its work recognized with an Emmy award. Most recently, ARRI received an Engineering Emmy for its family of softlights LED SkyPanel in 2021 and by the camera system ARRI Alexa in 2017.
