The US National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) has announced that it will award a technical Emmy to Epsio Zoom 4K technology from EVS. Epsio Zoom is a 4K repetition system that allows you to enlarge the image, making the most of Ultra High Definition.

Epsio Zoom offers operators the unprecedented ability to capture every detail of live action from multiple cameras, allowing operators to zoom in on a particular section of an image and prepare engaging clips for playback during live events. Epsio Zoom works with all formats and types of content, giving you the ability to air dynamic replays with high frame rates, freeze key actions and zoom in on critical situations with the highest level of detail.

Laurent Petit, vice president of product at EVS, highlighted that "we live in a time of realism and intensity. Tools like Epsio Zoom are essential to make the viewing experience, whether from a seat in the stadium or a sofa in the living room, as exciting as possible. We are very proud to have been honored with an Emmy award for this innovation."

Epsio Zoom systems are being used by both sports clubs and broadcasters around the world with wide penetration in the United States, Japan and Latin America. In addition to its deployment in major National Football League stadiums in the United States, Fox Sports is using the solution for the first 4K coverage of golf's USA Open. He was also an integral part of CBS' coverage of this year's Super Bowl.

Epsio Zoom is part of the Epsio toolset that adds effects, telestration and graphic overlays, to EVS's XT3 production server.

The 68th Annual NATAS Technology and Engineering Awards will be presented on January 7 at a ceremony at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
