Álvarez-Pallete (Telefónica) will preside over the GSMA until the end of 2024

The board of GSMA has elected José María Álvarez-Pallete, president and CEO of Telefónica, as president for a two-year term.

Alvarez-Pallete will begin its journey January 1, 2023 con Gopal Vittal, CEO del grupo Bharti Airtel, like vice president. He CEO of Telefónica will assume responsibility for the strategic direction of the organization, which represents international mobile operators and companies in today's broad mobile ecosystem.
