DJI launches the O3 Air Unit, a UHD FPV camera module and transmission unit

The O3 Air Unit FPV Camera Module and Transmission Unit DJI expands the manufacturer's catalog of aerial filming solutions with UHD capabilities.

The new O3 Air Unit of DJI seeks to offer “new heights” in all types of immersive flights. The camera module houses a sensor 1/1.7 inch that records video up to 4K/60 fps with a super wide field of view of 155°. The system supports color mode D-Cinelike, also fits the filter set ND DJI Avata to be able to operate under different lighting conditions.

Regarding the transmission, the backbone of any system FPV, the O3 Air Unit integrates the system DJI O3+, which translates into 2T2R omnidirectional antennas integrated into the aerial unit itself capable of generating video in 1080p/100fps and stream video H.265 at a maximum bit rate of 50 Mb/s. The system, to facilitate the flight for users, has a video transmission range of up to 10 km with a 30ms minimum latency. Likewise, when the system detects a high-signal environment, the O3 Air Unit automatically switches between signal frequency bands. 2.4 GHz y 5.8 GHz and use anti-interference technologies to maintain a reliable connection with your pilot.

Other notable features of the DJI O3 Air Unit are its 48 megapixels; are aperture f/2.8; the ability to deliver video to 2.7K/120 fps in slow motion; compatibility with RockSteady; data of the IMU open to facilitate post-production and stabilization; mode USB card reader to read files quickly, and 20 GB internal memory in the transmission module.
