wTVision debuts a camera dog in the live broadcast of the Indian Premier League
A dog-shaped robotic camera developed by wTVision debuts in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. This interactive mascot-like robot has been developed in collaboration with Omnicam and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
The camera dog, introduced during the match between the Mumbai Indians and the Delhi Capitals, interacted in real time with players, referees and fans.
wTVision technical teams developed a custom gimbal system, a camera with pan and tilt remote control, and a system of RF video, all integrated into a lightweight 3D printed structure. The result was a fluid and stable image, which brought personality to the broadcast without interfering with the game.
This project reflects wTVision's continued commitment to pushing the creative and technological boundaries in live sports production, as audiences seek more human and immersive viewing experiences. In this way, wTVision once again demonstrates what is possible in sports broadcasts: the fusion between narrative, technology and fan participation.
