HIT Productions

Located in the central business district of Makati, Philippines, the post-production studio HIT Productions Revolutionize your installations with the professional AV-over-IP Dante AV video solution from Audinate.

With 31 years of experience in the sector, HIT Productions is known for creating award-winning works that serve the advertising, music, film, streaming… markets.

With the recent changes in the way content is created, distributed and consumed, HIT realized that its old facilities were no longer meeting the needs of its production teams and customers.

Old facility studios relied on point-to-point analog connections built in the days of dedicated rooms with limited signal routing options, resulting in inefficient use of space and resources. When a new building became available in 2021, HIT took the opportunity to build a new facility that would allow them meet the challenges of a constantly changing technological ecosystem.

HIT ProductionsDennis Cham, founding partner and CTO of HIT Productions, decided to implement Dante AV as a transport mechanism for all audio and video between rooms. It was realized that the new facility required a flexible audiovisual design that would allow the studios to be physically reconfigured based on production needs and seamlessly reroute audio and video streams as needed. As the pandemic forced many employees to work remotely to reduce the number of people in the facility and minimize infections among staff and announcers, the AV system also had to support hybrid workflows for the company's employees.

“Dante AV gave us the flexibility to connect rooms in any number of combinations with standard Cat 6 Ethernet cables,” says Cham. “The audio and video quality is exceptional, and the flexibility to route audio and video throughout the facility with just a few cables was very liberating.”

HIT ProductionsAn all-in-one

Dante AV is a complete integrated network audio and video solution, which brings to video all the advantages that have made Dante the reference audio over IP solution on the market. All products in the Dante AV family use a single application to manage audio and video, offering greater visibility and ease of use. In addition, they are interoperable with the more than 3,500 Dante products that already exist on the market.

Dante AV uses a single master clock for the entire system (regardless of the number of endpoints), allowing independent routing of audio and video streams while maintaining perfect synchronization.

HIT Productions uses catwalks Patton FiberPlex FPX6000 high-performance to route video signals via Dante over the network to where they are needed. Audio I/O is routed through multiple portable Dante interfaces RedNet X2P of Focusrite controlled by controllers RedNet R1. Additionally, Dante also connects multiple audio interfaces Focusrite Red y Avid MTRX Studio that power the largest production suites.

HIT Productions currently has 12 production rooms that run on Dante AV, and plans to expand to all 28 theaters over time. Dedicated Dante cabling has also been installed in the facility's 12 hot desk workstations and four conference and meeting rooms.

"Dante AV was the perfect solution to send audio and video to the entire facility with the lowest latency. Dante AV is cutting-edge technology that will allow us to be more productive and expand to meet the challenges of a changing industry," concludes Cham.
