El Cañonazo Transmedia hires Rubén García Franco as director of Non-Fiction Content
With more than 15 years of professional experience, where he has worked as a producer at Vaca Films Studio and Ézaro Films, Rubén García Franco assumes the direction of Non-Fiction Content in the company specialized in the creation and production of transmedia content and branded content, The Cannon Shot.
This appointment is part of its strategy of convergence between content and brands. On the one hand, with the creation of non-fiction content, an area in which El Cañonazo has specialized with docu series such as Lucia in the spider web (RTVE Play) and Champions (Rakuten.tv), and in its foray into the field of podcasts, GAL: The Triangle (Podimo), which won the Ondas Globales Podcast Award for Best Non-Fiction Podcast. And on the other hand, El Cañonazo has strengthened its position as the most recognized production company for making branded content in Spain - a designation obtained in the last three editions of the Content Scope study.
Roger Casas-Alatriste, CEO and founder of El Cañonazo, points out that "the arrival of Rubén excites us, since it is a profile that adds to our commitment to documentaries and the integration of brands into the content business as co-producers of the same. García Franco will be the head of the non-fiction area, and among his duties will be the coordination and evaluation of new projects; the generation of opportunities for the integration of brands in them; in the identification of talent, as well as possible production lines in televisions and platforms in Spain: trend analysis, contact with managers. The producer will focus its strategy and efforts on the creation of projects that incorporate the interest of different platforms as well as brands in different ecosystems.

Rubén García Franco joins El Cañonazo Transmedia with a solid track record working in the entertainment content department of Ficción Producciones, where titles such as Operation Black Tide, o 3 Paths. As well as Memoirs of a man in pajamas y The dead go
quickly as Executive Producer of Ézaro Films.
Previously, he was Executive Producer of the unscripted department of Vaca Films, one of the production companies with the best CV in Spain, where he was responsible for the development and production of an original large-format docuseries that will be released soon.
Among his professional achievements, the founding of his own production company also stands out, which created impossible sports, formato de entretenimiento de origen gallego pionero en ser encargado para su emisión en el resto de España y Portugal a través del canal norteamericano A&E. Franco también fue profesor de Técnicas Audiovisuales en la Escuela Superior Marcelo Macías de la capital coruñesa.
