LiveU launches its new on-site production solution at NAB 2023

The assistants of NAB 2023 (Las Vegas, 16-19 de abril) podrán descubrir la nueva solución de producción on-site de LiveU, diseñada para la retransmisión de deportes y eventos.

La nueva solución de producción on site de LiveU busca ofrecer una “eficiencia inigualable a un precio muy rentable” al ofrecer una transmisión inalámbrica desde una unidad móvil en un “solo clic” y “sin necesidad de una conexión fija a internet”. Este enfoque innovador se contrapone, según LiveU, al de las producciones tradicionales multicámara, las cuales suelen ser “muy caras y complejas de configurar”.

La solución de LiveU se compone de mochilas 5G 4K and a mobile receiver on the mobile unit. Live video is streamed directly from the units to a local control room that creates a feed program, so that “much of the cost associated with configuring complex and traditionally connected workflows is avoided.” The live streams are then transferred via the Public Internet and the LU-Link cloud service.

One of the first customers of the new solution, Sam Schrade, president of DNA Studios, traslada su experiencia: “La solución funciona fantásticamente y abre un montón de casos de uso creativo. Gideon Gilboa, product director at LiveU, highlights the main benefits of this solution, which will be part of NAB 2023: "Remote production is an ideal solution in many cases, but for some productions on-site production is still preferred. With LiveU's on-site production solution, the client does not have to undergo long and expensive setups, they do not need on-site network engineers or spend weeks trying to navigate computer protocols. They are free to plan their shots based on the story they want to share. with fans, instead of being limited by line of site or cables. Ultimately, the solution puts the advantages of “on-site” production within the reach of productions where it would have previously been prohibitive.”
