'Tarradellas, government of unity', best television documentary of ProDocs

He DocsBarcelona, an international documentary film festival, has concluded with the presentation of the ProDocs awards, which have elevated 'Tarradellas, govern d'unitat' with the award for Best Television Documentary.

Tarradellas, unity government is a historical and testimonial documentary about the formation of the first unity government of the Generalitat recovered on October 23, 1977. Directed by Albert Solé and Joan Salicrú, it is based on direct witnesses of that moment and collects the memory of what some of the councilors of the unity government experienced.

In this production of Clack y Minimal Films, in co-production with La Xarxa y RTVE, and with the support of the Barcelona Provincial Council, a re-reading of that period is carried out and the importance of the capacity for dialogue demonstrated by Tarradellas and the politicians of that generation where there were various political sensitivities is analyzed.

The documentary is based on the experiences and stories of how the protagonists of that period, like the advisors of the unity government. Among them, Narcís Serra, who was advisor of Territorial Policy and Public Works of the PSC; Ramon Espasa, Health Minister for the PSUC and promoter of the health map of Catalonia, or Jordi Pujol, political advisor for the CDC throughout the mandate, among many others. Furthermore, in Tarradellas, unity government A plot thread is also created about that time and the figure of Tarradellas with the reflections of Jordi Pujol, as the first president of the Generalitat after the 1980 elections, and Pere Aragonès, current president of the Generalitat.
