The XAL fosters the co -production of podcasts and documentaries

The Audiovisual Market of Catalonia (Mac) will host pitching sessions to select Pódcasts and documentaries projects in development that will have the support of the local audiovisual Xarxa (Resolution).

Of the more than 50 candidacies that were presented, 11 proposals will have the opportunity to present on Wednesday, June 14, their project in each of the two modalities throughout the MAC.

Two jurors composed of representatives of the Contents Directorate of the XAL, of the local media, and of the Doc’s-Betevé Management Team and the Radio Observatory in Catalonia of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, will be responsible for evaluating the ‘pitchings’ and later announce, what have been the selected projects.

As for the call aimed at Pódcast, it is aimed at local audiovisual producers and operators of Catalonia. Podcasts must be specialized in proximity stories on any aspect. The section Proximity stories, is open to the local media of Catalonia. The contents must be specialized in historical episodes and facts and/or unique local stories of general interest.

As for documentaries, two categories are also established, one open to local audiovisual producers and operators of Catalonia, without thematic restrictions and another for Pódcast specialized in historical themes and/or unique local stories of general interest.
