XAL dedicates 195,000 euros to the co-production of podcast and documentary projects

He Audiovisual Market of Catalonia (MAC) will host the pitching sessions to select podcast and documentary projects in the process of development that will have the support of the Xarxa Audiovisual Local (SOLUTION).

Of the more than 50 applications that were presented, 11 proposals will have the opportunity to present their project on Wednesday, June 14, in each of the two modalities throughout the MAC.

Two juries made up of representatives of the XAL Content Directorate, the local media, and the management team of Doc's-betevé and the Radio Observatory in Catalonia of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​will be in charge of evaluating the pitches and subsequently announcing which projects have been selected.

As for the call for podcasts, it is aimed at local audiovisual production companies and operators in Catalonia. Podcasts should be specialized in proximity stories in any aspect. The section Proximity stories, is open to the local media in Catalonia. The contents must be specialized in historical episodes and facts and/or unique local stories of general interest.

As for documentaries, two categories will also be established, one open to local audiovisual production companies and operators in Catalonia, without thematic restrictions, and another for podcasts specialized in historical themes and/or unique local stories of general interest.
