Atresmedia's Face to Face debate sweeps with a 46.5% screen share
The Face to Face between the presidential candidates Pedro Sánchez and Alberto Nuñez Feijóo in Atresmedia It achieved a remarkable 46.5% audience share, becoming the most watched non-sports broadcast of the year.
The format, which could be seen simultaneously on Antena 3, La Sexta, Onda Cero and other digital channels of the media group, had the attraction of being the only confirmed face to face between the representatives of the two parties that currently lead the polls in Spain ahead of the next presidential elections on July 23: PP and PSOE.
As indicated by Atresmedia, the debate between Sánchez and Feijoo exceeded 5.9 million followers achieving a 46.5% screen share, reaching a total of 11.3 million unique viewers. Broken down by channels, Antena 3 registered a total of 6,820,000 unique viewers, compared to 6,004,000 for LaSexta.
The golden minute was recorded at 22:45 con 6,360,000 spectators and a 47,8% quota, at which point, according to Barlovento Comunicación, Feijóo proposed to Sánchez to reach an agreement so that in the next general elections rule the most voted list.
Despite the good results of the electoral debate, the time of low television consumption and the summer period does not allow face-to-face to be placed in the top 10 of the most watched debates in history. In this respect, the gold medal continues to go to the match between Zapatero and Rajoy of 2008, who knew how to retain 59.1% of screen share con 13,043,000 spectators.
