Christie to supply pure laser RGB projectors to Cineplex Deutschland until 2026
The halls of the German exhibitor Cineplex Germany will be renewed with RGB pure laser projectors from Christie from now to 2026 thanks to the signing of a multi-annual agreement.
Installation work has already begun in Cineplex of the new RGB pure laser projectors, which will replace the veteran models of xenon of the Christie Series 1 and 2. Cineplex Deutschland, which encompasses the 26 family businesses and is the largest film exhibitor in Germany, it remains open and operating more than 90 movie theaters with a number of screens greater than 560.
Christie's pure laser RGB cinema projectors, integrating lighting technology Real|Laser, offer more lumens per watt than “any other competing model,” according to the technology itself. Furthermore, its light sources “guarantee” more than 50,000 hours of brightness on screen with standard DCI, and operational efficiency “unrivaled in the market.” The new models also arrive, providing more than 95% of Rec.2020 color space as well as a “superior” contrast ratio.
