IASA holds its 54th annual conference in defense of world audiovisual heritage
From September 11 to 15, Istanbul will host the 54th conference of the out, a meeting that aims to “collaborate to preserve and safeguard audiovisual and related heritage.”
The International Association of Sound and Audiovisual Archives (IASA) will host its 54th conference at Istanbul University (Türkiye) in close collaboration with the International Council of Traditional Music (ICTM), which will hold its 4th forum in parallel. In this way, both parties join forces for the first time to strengthen collaboration between the organizations and defend even more strongly their “numerous common interests.”
The event will be hybrid, combining components in person and online. They are extensive program It encompasses conferences that range from the complex relationships between institutions for the preservation of archives, to reflections on the suitability of archives such as 4K, through all types of success stories y discussion panels.
The IASA Conference will take place during the first four days, while the ICTM – IASA Forum will be held on the last day, the fifth, with the aim of bringing together members and representatives of IASA and ICTM. Registration is still open.
