The 4K version of the MGW Diamond+ OG encoder, among Vitec's new features for IBC 2023
Vitec will exhibit in IBC 2023 (September 15-18) the latest developments in its catalog, among which the Vitec 4K MGW Diamond+ OG encoder or the ChannelLink IP gateway stand out.
Designed to be easily integrated, Vitec will show in IBC 2023 the card MGW Diamond+ OG openGear 4K, suitable for a wide range of contribution or point-to-point transmission applications over IP within production studios, broadcast facilities or corporate server rooms. Apart from this solution with UHD capabilities, the French firm will also focus on video distribution with ChannelLink, a system that allows low-latency delivery of IPTV content to remote locations. The system arrives at IBC 2023 with the new function SmartLink, which “ensures” that IP power supplies are requested only when necessary, reducing overall network traffic and power consumption.
Vitec has also confirmed that it will show the platforms THIS IS TV Avedia IPTV y Digital Signage, which allow users to broadcast live and on-demand content, create and manage digital signage, and distribute television and proprietary content through existing networks. The latest version of the platform THIS IS TV, winner of an Emmy Award, the 8.2, includes a wide range of enhancements across multiple modules: real-time endpoint snapshots, which provide operators with instant visual feedback of the HDMI output for the EP5 and EP5+; addition of SRT y HEVC, as well as multi-view video playback in the EZ TV Player Lite HTML5 browser player.
Bruno Teissier, senior vice president of sales at Vitec, summarizes the company's approach to IBC 2023: "We are delighted to present our latest products at IBC, designed to streamline workflows and help broadcast professionals do more with less. Visitors will see demonstrations of our updated video streaming, IPTV and digital signage platforms, with new features that align with our principles of productivity, flexibility, security and continuous improvement of the user experience."
